Osoyoos

As the Okanagan's southern most town, Osoyoos is just a five minute jaunt to the U.S. Border. With a backdrop of grassland and sage brush, it is fitting that Osoyoos is actually situated in Canada's only arid desert.

With daytime temperatures often reaching the highest in Canada, this small town grows substantially in the summer months as visitors engage in their favourite summertime activities. With such sunny dry climate, Osoyoos is known for its extended golf season and its delicious variety of fruits. Spend a day at Osoyoos Lake, one of Canada's warmest fresh water lakes or visit the Osoyoos Desert Centre, an interpretive education and research facility where you can learn about Osoyoos' local sensitive and endangered ecosystem.
